Hello to all the lovely couples out there!
Ladies, this week I am going to share some tips & tricks on your wedding makeup.
You’ve got the wedding gown sorted, now it’s time to think about your wedding makeup…
Every bride has their own styles, some love the full-on glam look and others like the natural look. There are no rules for makeup, but be sure you look into current styles and trends as they change from time to time – looks come and go!
In the last ten years, the biggest bridal trend has been that radiant, dewy, natural finish. Brides want to look effortlessly glowing. They want it subtle without it appearing they’re wearing makeup.
My top tips this week are;
Listen to the advice your Make-up artist is giving you
Your makeup artist is a pro! So make sure you take their advice. They are trained to do makeup on every feature of the face. Doing a make up trial is a great chance to learn and also talk through your ideas together.
Go with your gut!
Bridal make up is different for everyone. It is always best to do a makeup trial so that you can see how it would look on the big day! And make sure you are happy and know exactly what you want.
Stick with the everyday look with a little bit of edge
Your makeup is all about your style, so make sure your makeup reflects your personality. Especially your everyday style. It can be a statement or minimal. It is important to feel your best on your wedding day! The most beautiful version of yourself. If you don’t usually go for colourful makeup, stick to what you know and like. You don’t want to feel uncomfortable looking back on your magical wedding day photos.
The season is important
You never know what the weather is going to be like in Ireland! Your skin can change very quickly like the weather. Let your Make-up artist know what season you are getting married in. You may need powder on a sunny day or a hydration mist if it is cold and dry outside. Your Make-up artist will be able to help you, every step of the way.
Get ready for the tears!
The big day is one of the most emotional days of your life! But your makeup should stay in place throughout the emotions! Look into getting your lashes & brows tinted. Or even semi-permanent lashes. Definitely use waterproof products, they will be a lifesaver on your big day!
See you next Wednesday for some top tips on Wedding Dresses.
Happy Planning!
