Hello to all the lovely bride and grooms out there!

This week I am going to help with some ideas on your music selection.

Music can be vocal, just instrumental or they can combine in such a way that they produce beauty, harmony and add another level to the love & emotion in the air on your big day.

Music can be found throughout the whole wedding day from the arrival’s reception to the ceremony and the evening.

My top tip this week is…

To ask your wedding venue what music they recommend as they will have a supplier list with the most popular musicians in the area. Make sure to take some time during your wedding planning to go and listen/view bands & musicians you have in mind. Make contact with them beforehand & they can let you know when & where they are preforming.

Below are my recommendations for Musicians in our local area.

The Arrivals Reception

An arrivals reception is a party usually held after the wedding ceremony before your meal as a welcome for those who have attended the wedding, hence the name reception.

Here at the hotel we suggest to our couples to look into what type of music they like and what vibe you’d like your wedding to have. Please find a few ideas of different types of arrivals music below.

Play list – why not create your own play list with all your favourite songs. (The hotel can then play the music through the speaker as back ground music)

The Wedding Ceremony

A wedding is a ceremony where two people are united in marriage. … Most wedding ceremonies involve an exchange of marriage vows by the couple. During the ceremony, music is usually a huge aspect of it. It can be played throughout the ceremony or at set intervals.

Play list – creating your own play list with all your favourite songs adds more of you as a couple to the ceremony

The Wedding Evening

At this stage the music gets really fun and exciting. Depending on your music taste as a couple you can have anything from a two piece band playing all the latest hits, a seven piece swing/jazz band or a traditional Irish band. As the evening progresses usually a DJ will take over the festivities to keep your guests on the dance floor!

I have put some of our most popular local musicians below, why not check them out for your big day!

P.S. We have our wedding fair, here at the Charleville Park Hotel on the 15th September from 2-5pm. Why not come along and meet our wonderful musicians.

See you next Wednesday for top tips on Entertainment.

Happy Planning!
